The Florida State baseball team landed a commitment from Georgia’s Ty Peeples on Thursday night.
Peeples hit .294 in 32 games, making one start, this spring. He had just 17 at-bats but had six walks, scored nine runs and had three RBI.
“Blessed to be a Nole!!” Peeples posted on his Twitter/X account.
While he didn’t hit much as a freshman in 2026, Peeples was a highly regarded prospect at Franklin County (Ga.) High. Peeples was viewed as one of the top 10 prospects in the nation by Perfect Game, hitting .476 with 10 doubles, 12 home runs, 27 RBI, 41 walks and 25 stolen bases as a senior.
The outfielder was a 20th-round draft pick by Toronto in the 2025 MLB Draft.
FSU has been active in the transfer portal in June, adding left-hander Cayden Suchy, junior-college catcher Coy Clements and first baseman Jackson McKenzie.
