The No. 7 Florida State baseball team faces its third top-12 opponent in the last four weeks with a weekend series at No. 10 Virginia from April 2-4 in Charlottesville, Virginia.

FSU (22-6, 7-2 ACC) and Virginia (23-7, 7-5) commences on ACC Network on Thursday at 5 p.m. FSU alum Devon Travis will be the analyst for Thursday's game with play-by-play man Karl Ravech.

Two left-handers will square off on Thursday. Two juniors will go in the opener, with FSU’s Wes Mendes (6-1, 1.33 ERA) up against UVA’s Kyle Johnson (0-1, 6.00 ERA).

On Friday, junior left-hander Trey Beard (2-0, 3.58 ERA) face Cavaliers sophomore lefty Max Stammel (2-2, 7.14 ERA). Friday’s first pitch is at 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.

In Saturday’s finale, junior right-hander Bryson Moore (4-1, 5.12 ERA) toes the rubber against freshman right-hander John Paone (1-1, 5.02 ERA). The game will be at 11 a.m. (ACC Network Extra).

This series wraps up early with Easter on Sunday.

The Seminoles are 5-1 in road games, including Tuesday's 6-3 win at Stetson and a three-game sweep at Wake Forest.

To open ACC play, FSU has won series against Wake Forest, NC State and Duke.

Florida State is 62-34 all-time against Virginia, including 30-10 at home, 20-16 on the road and 12-8 at a neutral site.
