Florida State hosted multiple edge rushers on campus over the weekend as the Seminoles are attempting to close out their 2026 recruiting class strong by filling a major need.
The Seminoles have been in search of multiple edge rushers to round out the class and landed a commitment from former Georgia Tech commit Chris Carbin early in the month.
Florida State added their second edge rusher of the 2026 class on Monday, earning a commitment from Pearl River C.C edge rusher Jalen Anderson. Anderson is the No. 2 ranked JUCO edge rusher by 247sports and is also considered the No. 6 ranked JUCO prospect nationally by On3/Rivals.
Originally from Louisiana, Anderson has totaled 41 tackles at Pearl River Community College with 11.5 tackles for loss. He also is credited with seven sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception.
Florida State hosted Anderson on Nov. 6 and an official visit was quickly set up between the two parties. Anderson was in attendance for FSU’s 34-14 victory over Virginia Tech on Saturday.
Anderson chose the Seminoles over offers from Illinois, Arkansas, West Virginia, Nebraska, Colorado and Arizona State. Anderson was formerly committed to FIU before decommitting on October 24.
Anderson is the 26th commitment of Mike Norvell’s 2026 recruiting class - a class that continues to hold strong as a Top 15 class in both major recruiting service rankings (15th by Rivals/On3 and 14th by 247Sports).
