Florida State has landed a transfer quarterback.

Auburn transfer Ashton Daniels committed to FSU on Tuesday morning at the conclusion of his visit to campus.

"FSU is a dream school for me to be able to finish my college career," Daniels said to Noles247. "This coaching staff and the people involved with this program have shown me what it means and takes to be a Seminole and nothing excites me more than that. I already love this place and community and can't wait to attack this offseason with my brothers and give this community what they deserve."

Daniels completed 68 of 119 passes (57.1 percent) for 797 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in 2025 at Auburn. He previously was at Stanford, passing for 3,986 yards and 21 touchdowns from 2022-24 as a two-year starter.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Daniels has one year of eligibility remaining.

FSU has hosted UNLV transfer Anthony Colandrea and Florida transfer DJ Lagway in recent days. Colandrea left FSU to visit Georgia Tech, while Lagway departed on Monday afternoon to visit Virginia. Lagway said he was on “cloud 9” following his visit.

It’s likely FSU will continue to pursue Lagway and other transfer quarterback options. FSU’s quarterback room now includes Daniels, redshirt freshman Kevin Sperry and 2026 signee Jaden O’Neal.
