The early signing period in December is overwhelmingly the primary window for college football prospects to make their decisions official. But the first Wednesday in February remains active for some prospects, including a standout quarterback.

Junior-college star Malachi Marshall, who committed in January after his visit to FSU, has signed with the Seminoles.

“They showed consistent love from day 1 and that was my biggest thing in my recruitment process,” Marshall told the Osceola on Jan. 19. “Genuine people and great coaches who believe in me.”

Marshall has played in 19 games, first at Stony Brook and then at Iowa Western Community College. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Marshall completed 201 of 319 passes for 2,750 yards, 33 touchdowns and eight interceptions at Iowa Western in 2025.

He led the Reivers to a 12-1 record and the NJCAA Division I national title. Marshall will enroll at FSU in May.

FSU basketball fans may remember his cousin, Ian Miller, who played for the Seminoles from 2010-14.

A few 2026 prospects announced commitments to FSU on Wednesday, but they have not been recognized as signees by the school. Among them is Tallahassee Florida High receiver Keenen Jeune.

The 6-foot, 180-point Jeune had 46 catches for 759 yards (16.5-yard average) and five touchdowns as a senior in a breakout 2025 season.
