Florida State will be without Darryll Desir in Saturday’s game against Virginia (3:30 p.m. on ESPN2).

Antonio Cromartie Jr. was among the reserve defensive backs who impressed against Central Arkansas. Jamari Howard will also miss the game against the Cavaliers.

A large group of Seminoles are probable. Quindarrius Jones missed the Central Arkansas game. Chris Jones left the field on Saturday and was helped off to the sideline but returned on the next drive. It’s encouraging that Caleb LaVallee is viewed as probable after missing the Central Arkansas game. Rover Ashlynd Barker has been playing through an injury.

“I had to play Ash a lot more than I would have liked,” FSU safeties coach Evan Cooper said on Tuesday. “But as we start getting players back, I would like to have a good rotation. He’s been trying to battle it out. He has a broken bone in his wrist or in his forearm. It is what it is. He’s a warrior.

“I need him to play better. I need him to be who I know he is. he has to suck it up and be the guy. i would like to have a good rotation so I don’t wear those guys down.”

Further availability reports will be provided in the coming days leading up to pregame on Saturday.
