With Hurricane Isaias projected to make landfall Friday evening along the Gulf Coast, multiple Florida State athletics events have been impacted.
Florida State's soccer matchup against North Carolina has been postponed. That match was set for Friday at 6 p.m. in Tallahassee.
A few early Friday athletics events are on. The Florida State XC Invite is still scheduled for 7:40 a.m. Friday at Apalachee Regional Park. Admission is free. Swimming & Diving's Seminole Fall Classic, originally scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. at Morcom Aquatics Center, will now begin at 11 a.m. Friday. Admission is free.
The FSU-Troy softball exhibition was set for Saturday afternoon but will now be played Sunday at 2 p.m.
Four games have been postponed or canceled, including FSU-Georgia Tech volleyball (was slated to be played Friday at Tully Gym). As was previously announced, the FSU basketball exhibition and FSU baseball exhibition in Pensacola have been canceled. It's plausible the FSU-Mississippi State basketball game could be made up.
FSU lacrosse matches that were scheduled for Saturday will no longer be open to the public.
The FSU football team is playing at Louisville on Friday, as scheduled, at 7 p.m. on ESPN. The Marching Chiefs are taking the bus up to Louisville on Thursday.
