Florida State opened up a preseason practice on Friday. Below are videos of quarterbacks, receivers, offensive linemen and defensive linemen.

It was FSU’s first day in shells, and coach Mike Norvell said he liked the physicality.

“I thought our guys did a good job. It was very competitive,” Norvell said. “Some heightened emotions. First day of shoulder pads on. Couple things we got to clean up and just control. But I thought our guys did a good job of the way they attacked practice. You feel speed, you feel the explosiveness.”

FSU will be off on Saturday but back on the practice field Sunday and Monday. The first scrimmage will be Tuesday night.
