Florida State began the rebuild of its defensive front as Texas A&M end Rylan Kennedy made his commitment on Tuesday afternoon.

Kennedy had 14 tackles and two sacks as a sophomore at Texas A&M in 2025. He played 176 snaps and was only credited with one missed tackle by Pro Football Focus.

With the recent news that Mandrell Desir, Darryll Desir and Amaree Williams intend to jump into the transfer portal, landing Kennedy is a big starting point for the Seminoles on defense.

Tuesday was a busy day with four FSU commitments.

Kennedy joins a group of FSU commitments that includes offensive linemen Nate Pabst and Bradyn Joiner, quarterback Ashton Daniels, running back Tre Wisner, cornerback Nehemiah Chandler and long snapper Caleb Bowers.
