Due to anticipated impacts from Tropical Storm Isaias in the Florida Panhandle on Saturday, Florida State's men's basketball and baseball matchups in Pensacola have been canceled.
The men's basketball team was scheduled to play an exhibition game against Mississippi State on Saturday for the Southern Tip Off at the Pensacola Bay Center, while baseball was scheduled to face Auburn in a Fall Ball matchup at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Tropical Storm Isaias is forecast to become a hurricane and make landfall Friday evening along the Gulf Coast, with projected impacts from Mississippi to the Florida Panhandle.
Event stakeholders are evaluating options for rescheduling the Southern Tip Off. If a new date is confirmed, additional information will be shared. Ticket purchasers for each game will receive an email update regarding options as soon as possible.
Men's basketball continues its exhibition season on Oct. 14 against Auburn at Ballin in Boutwell in Birmingham, Alabama.
Baseball's fall debut will now be at home on Oct. 16 at 5 p.m. against Jacksonville.
All of FSU’s on-campus games are on as scheduled. The FSU soccer team will host No. 1 North Carolina on Friday.
