Florida State has added another linebacker to its 2026 class — flipping longtime target and three-star linebacker Daylen Green away from Arkansas.

Aided by the firing of Sam Pittman earlier in the season, Florida State was able to gain ground with Green quickly — ultimately hosting Green on an official visit for their game against Wake Forest on Saturday.

Arkansas narrowly beat out Florida State for Green during the summer. The Razorbacks had been the more consistent program in the 6-foot-1 and 210-pound linebacker’s recruitment and they had hosted him on an official visit on June 6. Florida State only truly started pushing for Green right before his commitment, hosting him on campus for an Elite Camp on June 1.

Despite visiting multiple times during the winter and the spring, it was at that camp that the Florida State coaching staff gave him the green light to commit but that push came too late as Green committed to the Razorbacks during his official visit the following weekend.

Florida State did not slow down in their efforts to obtain Green and while he remained committed to the Razorbacks, the Seminoles continued to push and ultimately flipped Green.

The Gadsden County High product is a composite three-star prospect, ranked as the No. 961 prospect in the 2026 class and is also considered to be the No. 75 linebacker prospect in the country per the 247sports composite rankings.

Green joins a linebacker class that also has commitments from four-star Izayia Williams, three-star Karon Maycock, and three-star Noah LaVallee. Green is the 27th commitment in Mike Norvell’s 2026 recruiting class, bolstering the Seminoles Top-15 ranked recruiting class.
