On this week’s Front Row Noles / Seminole Sidelines, Tom Block and Keith Jones chat with Florida State interim athletics director Bruce Warwick.

While Warwick arrived at FSU in 2020 to be a “football guy” and work in various off-field roles, he took on an expanded, administrative role on Sept. 14 when he was appointed as the interim athletics director.

“We have the support from the university to be a little bit more aggressive in our game day approach,” Warwick said. “It’s about the fan experience, it’s about creating atmosphere for our team that lives and feeds off of that energy, especially with the student section. And all of the fans in the building, the Marching Chiefs. It takes everybody to create the game day atmosphere in Doak Campbell Stadium.”

Warwick discusses his time working with FSU’s Olympics sports teams and the football team. One of his efforts was to lead a group tasked with creating an expanded gameday experience for FSU’s home game against Clemson on Saturday at 7 p.m. Warwick and FSU’s staff have called the effort “Operation Garnet Storm.”

FSU administrators are also discussing plans ahead of the homecoming game against NC State on Nov. 21. The Seminoles will also host Florida on Black Friday.
