Florida State guard Robert McCray V was named a third-team All-ACC selection on Monday in voting by media that cover the league’s teams.
McCray averaged 15.6 points and 6.1 assists as a senior following his transfer from Jacksonville. The 6-foot-4, 188-pound McCray scored in double figures in all but one ACC game this season.
He had 12 assists in FSU’s final home game, a win over SMU — his highest total in a league game.
In FSU’s 13-game run, beginning with a road win over Miami in mid-January, McCray has averaged 18.4 points.
Coach Luke Loucks received votes for the ACC’s coach of the year. The Osceola voted for Loucks as coach of the year (note that voters were only allowed one selection for coach of the year and not a 1-2-3 ballot). Duke’s Jon Scheyer won ACC coach of the year.
FSU will play California on Wednesday in the ACC Tournament in Charlotte, N.C.
