SMU (19-11, 8-9 ACC) at FSU (16-14, 9-8)

Time: Saturday at 2 p.m.

TV: ACC Network.

KenPom rankings: FSU is 71, SMU is 43.

Coaches: Luke Loucks has secured at worst a .500 record in ACC play in year 1 but is seeking to finish with a No. 7 seed in the league’s tournament next week with a victory over SMU (and some help from Miami in its game vs. Louisville). Andy Enfield, who was an FSU assistant coach from 2006-11 and recruited Loucks out of high school, is seeking a 20-win regular season.

Streaks: FSU has won two straight and is 9-3 in its last 12 games. SMU has lost three straight games, including the dreaded Cal-Stanford trip west.

Notable wins / losses: FSU has defeated five teams that are ranked 70th or higher in KenPom’s metrics. The Seminoles’ biggest wins are at No. 28 Miami, at No. 38 Clemson and at No. 58 Virginia Tech. So a win on Saturday would be up there. SMU’s best wins are over No. 37 Texas A&M in December, No. 29 UNC in January and No. 16 Louisville in February.

Of note: FSU has won 10 ACC games just 12 times since joining the league in the 1991-92 season. … SMU is viewed as a No. 11 seed by ESPN in its latest bracketology, and the Mustangs could solidify a spot in the NCAA Tournament with a win on Saturday. … A win for FSU could strengthen the argument to take an NIT bid. … The Mustangs shoot very well inside the arc (55.8 percent, 47th in DI) and from 3-point range (37.8 percent, 23rd in DI). … Robert McCray V now has 1,600 career points, with the last one coming on his second free-throw attempt in the final seconds of FSU’s win at Pitt. … FSU has made 303 3-point shots.

FSU stats: Guard Robert McCray V averages 17.1 points and 4.9 assists in ACC games, scoring in double figures in all but one ACC game. Forward Chauncey Wiggins averages 13.1 points and 3.4 rebounds vs. ACC teams, scoring in double figures in eight of the last 10 games. Lajae Jones averages 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in conference play, scoring in double figures in eight of his last nine games.
