Notable wins / losses: The Seminoles’ best wins have come at No. 33 Miami, at No. 58 Virginia Tech and at No. 41 Clemson. The Yellow Jackets have won just two ACC games, over KenPom No. 161 Boston College 65-53 on Jan. 3 and No. 27 NC State 78-74 on Jan. 17.
Of note: FSU’s 2-point shooting continues to trend up to 54.1 percent (85th in DI). … The Seminoles are projected to pick up road wins over Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh but lose to SMU in the finale, which would be a 16-15 mark in the regular season. … Georgia Tech is quite good from 3-point range (35.5 percent, 95th in DI) but struggles from inside the arc (48.7 percent, 297th in DI).
FSU stats: Robert McCray V is averaging 17.1 points in FSU’s 15 ACC games. Chauncey Wiggins is averaging 12.9 points and shooting 41.8 percent from 3-point range in league play. Lajae Jones is averaging 12.7 points and 6.7 rebounds in ACC games.
Georgia Tech stats: Forward Baye Ndongo averages 12.7 points and 8.3 rebounds, but he has consistently scored in the teens in the last month and is a quality rebounder. He leads a balanced starting five that includes forward Kowacie Reeves Jr. (14.7 points) and guards Akai Fleming, Lamar Washington and Jaeden Mustaf.
