Notable wins / losses: Duke has defeated a large number of teams in the top 30 of KenPom’s rankings, including Kansas, Arkansas, Florida and Michigan State.
Of note: FSU is playing game 15 and has already faced three Final Four teams (Florida, Houston and Duke) as well as Texas A&M and Georgia. All of those teams are in the top 60 of KenPom’s rankings. The schedule has been daunting but should prepare the Seminoles as they face more winnable games against the ACC. … While a win on Saturday is unlikely for FSU, the Seminoles have 10 wins over a ranked Duke team (most recently Jan. 2022 in overtime). … Duke has won four straight in the series. … Bill Raftery will be the analyst for CBS Sports, calling a game in Tallahassee for the first time.
FSU stats: Robert McCray leads the ACC in assists (7.1). He leads FSU in scoring (13.4 points). Chauncey Wiggins (12.3 points, 4.8 rebounds) and Alex Steen (7.2 points, 6.4 rebounds) are also among FSU’s leaders. … Martin Somerville is shooting 39.1 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and 82.8 percent at the free-throw line. … The Seminoles average 9.43 steals per game.

That will test Steen, and likely Wiggins, on the defensive end. How much can FSU play Alier Maluk, who is 220 pounds and not much of a rebounder? … The Blue Devils are one of the nation’s top teams. Among their weaknesses: Duke struggles at the line (70.1 percent, 233rd in DI) and it’s not a stellar 3-point shooting team (34.7 percent, 131st).
