Darrell Jackson was selected in the fourth round (No. 103 overall) by the New York Jets on Saturday afternoon.

Jackson was the third pick off the board as the fourth round started up on Saturday.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Jackson had 45 tackles and one sack in 2025. In 25 games at FSU, he had 80 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.

It wasn't the most impactful season statistically for Jackson, who opted to return to FSU in 2025 but had just 14 pressures and no sacks against Power 4 teams.

Jackson's massive 86-inch wingspan, frame and ability to stop the run made him an attractive draft pick. But the mock drafts were torn on where Jackson could be selected.

“When you see Darrell Jackson Jr. walk in the room, you can feel how big he is. He is massive. Rare, rare length,” NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah said. “I thought he played with effort. I just thought he was raw. You got to be patient with him.”

A few NFL writers had him coming off the board at slots between 74-99. While no doubt disappointed that he wasn't taken in the first three rounds, Jackson didn't have much of a wait on Saturday.

Jackson joins cornerback AZ Thomas with the NY Jets.

FSU has had at least one NFL draft pick each year since 1984.
