Jarvis Lee left Tallahassee impressed by his official visit. Now he has a decision to make - as well as a deadline.
The South Florida defensive back said he is down to two schools, FSU and Oregon, and could make an announcement on Monday night. Lee is not considering a reunion with Auburn coach Alex Golesh, who previously coached at USF.
"I’m committing to Florida State tomorrow (Monday) night or I’m going to Oregon," Lee said.
Lee had 55 tackles, four sacks and two interceptions at USF in 2025. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Lee played nickel for the Bulls but thinks he could fit in as a free safety at FSU.
As a high school prospect, Lee visited FSU in Oct. 2022. Lee was committed to Virginia and Georgia Tech in 2022 before signing with USF in Dec. 2022. The coaching staff and the scheme has changed, and Lee said he has built a quick relationship with FSU's defensive coaches.
"They’re one of the realest coaching staffs I’ve ever been around," Lee said. "Some people I can relate to and really be myself."
Now, he's got a chance to stay in the Sunshine State and play at FSU.
"This is legendary," Lee said. "Great guys came from here. They got tradition. I want to be a part of that tradition. I saw what happened this year (5-7 in 2025). It wasn’t the standard of Florida State. But I know what the standard of Florida State is and I can definitely be a part of that. And I can definitely change that."
Of note, Lee said he spent time with a number of FSU's defensive backs. One of them on Sunday was FSU roster Earl Little Jr., who initially said he was entering the NFL Draft before reports have indicated that he's changing his mind.
"I even watched him when I was in high school," Lee said. "That’s one of the guys I looked up to at one point in my life when I was younger. Now, I get to play next to him."
Colandrea arrives for visit

Mike Norvell and Anthony Colandrea
UNLV quarterback Anthony Colandrea arrived on Sunday morning for the start of a two-day visit. Colandrea was at FSU’s new football building until about 5:20 p.m.
While he was expected to return to FSU on Monday, Colandrea will now visit Georgia Tech in the morning according to a report by ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Florida transfer quarterback DJ Lagway did not arrive on Sunday afternoon, but he could still arrive at his hotel on Sunday night and begin his official visit on Monday morning.
Bryant Williams has FSU among top schools

Bryant Williams and Mike Norvell
Louisiana offensive tackle Bryant Williams also began his visit at FSU on Sunday. Williams said he intends to go to South Carolina, and potentially has other visits in the works. But it was clear that Williams, who is 6-7 and 335 pounds, has FSU among his top schools.
“After today, it’s going to be tough to beat out,” Williams said. “We’ll see how the visit to South Carolina goes. And if it’s nowhere near this, I don’t really see myself in any other place. Coach Norvell, he told me, ‘Just take one more visit; see what it’s like. Kind of just paint a picture of how this place is different from that place?’ We’ll see how it goes; just trying to take this process as slow as possible. At the end of the day, I want what’s best for me as a player and what’s best for me and my family.
Walker discusses FSU visit

UCF defensive tackle John Walker
UCF defensive tackle transfer John Walker said he enjoyed his two-day visit to FSU, which wrapped up Sunday morning. The 6-foot-4, 324-pound Walker enjoyed connecting with defensive line coach Terrance Knighton and the coaching staff.
“They’re trying to look for a dog, and they said I was one,” Walker said. “They had showed a lot of interest in me and a lot of love, so I enjoyed the visit.”
Next up for Walker is a visit to Ohio State. The rising junior said it’s “most likely” he will be ready to make a decision after that visit.
Walker said he will visit Ohio State on Monday and make a decision between the two schools.
