Florida State is getting some help back — just in time for Miami week.

Roydell Williams is back on FSU's depth chart, listed as a co-starter with Gavin Sawchuk, at running back. Coach Mike Norvell lists two running backs, with Jaylin Lucas and Ousmane Kromah as co-starters at the other spot.

FSU coach Mike Norvell said he considers Williams questionable for Saturday’s game against Miami (7:30 p.m. on ABC).

“I am excited about the progress I've seen from Roydell, excited about what that could potentially look like,” Norvell said.

Jayvan Boggs and Lawayne McCoy are now listed as co-starters at one receiver spot. It's the first time in 2025 that McCoy is listed on the depth chart after he missed FSU's first games due to injury.

At defensive tackle, Mandrell Desir is now listed as a co-starter with Daniel Lyons.

And at defensive end, Amaree Williams is listed as a co-backup with Deante McCray (with Jayson Jenkins as a starter).

Norvell also said he considers safety Ashlynd Barker to be questionable. Barker left Friday’s game at Virginia with an injury.

“We've had some positive steps in that, but we have to see what that looks like ultimately here in the next couple of days,” Norvell said.

FSU's October game times now set

FSU will play host to Miami on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.

On Monday, the Pittsburgh at FSU game time was set for Oct. 11 noon (ESPN). FSU’s game against the Panthers will serve as the Seminoles’ Cancer Awareness game. Tickets for the Pitt game are available on Seminoles.com.

And the FSU at Stanford game on Oct. 18 had been previously set for 10:30 p.m. (ESPN).

Pittman's touchdowns

Randy Pittman is the third player in FSU history to have a rushing, receiving and passing touchdown in the game game. As it turned out, Jordan Travis did it in 2022 against Syracuse. Red Parish also accomplished the feat in 1949 vs. Millsaps College.

According to research by FSU sports information, Pittman is just the second tight end to have a rushing, receiving and passing touchdown in the same game since 1995. Rice's James Casey accomplished the feat twice in 2008.
