Florida State released its preseason practice schedule for late July and August ahead of the 2026 opener.

The Seminoles will open preseason camp on Wednesday with a morning practice. Coach Mike Norvell and a few players will talk after the practice.

FSU will continue the tradition of practicing at the University of North Florida on Aug. 6-8.

There will be scrimmages early in camp: On Aug. 4 and Aug. 9, both in Tallahassee.

Just two practices will be open to the media for limited windows: July 31 and Aug. 13.

FSU opens the season with a Week Zero game on Aug. 29 against New Mexico State (7 p.m. on CW Network).

Coming up

Norvell and FSU’s assistant coaches will participate in a media luncheon on Monday. The Osceola will have more notes from the coaches as well as videos from the interviews.

Roster update

FSU released its 2026 roster ahead of camp on Friday. Freshman defensive lineman Chris Carbin, a three-star prospect who committed in November and signed in December.

The 6-foot-4, 236-pound Carbin was expected to compete with a large group of freshmen for playing time in FSU’s rotation. But with FSU’s veteran players and incoming transfers, Carbin wasn’t thought to be high on the depth chart.
