Florida State received a third straight quality start and four home runs to complete a dominating sweep of Wake Forest.

Bryson Moore had seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings, allowing just one earned run, as the No. 20 Seminoles grabbed a 12-6 win over No. 12 Wake Forest on Sunday.

The Virginia transfer followed up impressive outings from Wes Mendes (seven shutout innings, seven strikeouts) and Trey Beard (6.2 shutout innings, 14 strikeouts). Moore, who improved to 3-0, had seven strikeouts and three walks.

John Stuetzer had a grand slam, while Brayden Dowd had a two-run homer and Eli Putnam and Myles Bailey hit solo shots as the Seminoles (16-3, 3-0 ACC) put their power on display.

Kelvyn Paulino Jr. went 3 for 4 with an RBI single and a double. He’s hitting .410 on the season.

FSU produced 24 runs in the three-game sweep of Wake, which features one of the best pitching staffs in the ACC in 2026.

Javar Williams had a pair of home runs for Wake.

FSU’s bullpen ran into some trouble but the lead was safe, especially after Stuetzer’s grand slam in the eighth.

Cade O’Leary allowed two runs in 1/3 inning, Kevin Mebil gave up two earned runs in 1.1 innings and Chris Knier allowed an earned run in 1.2 innings. But Moore and the bullpen combined for 13 strikeouts.

Of note

FSU’s shutouts on Friday and Saturday gave the team back-to-back shutouts for the first time since the 2013 NCAA Regional. It’s the first consecutive shutouts vs. an ACC team since Maryland in 2000.

Up next

FSU will play host to Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday. The Seminoles then welcome NC State to Dick Howser Stadium for a three-game weekend series.
