Lajae Jones was drafted in the second round by the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.
Jones averaged 12.7 points and 5.7 rebounds at Florida State in 2025-26. He had a propensity to heat up from 3-point range and was also a capable slasher to the rim.
The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Jones will play for coach Steve Kerr at Golden State. FSU coach Luke Loucks was a video coordinator and assistant coach on the Warriors’ staff from 2016-22.
Jones shot just 32.5 percent from 3-point range at FSU but he made 38.9 percent of his shots from beyond the arc at St. Bonaventure in 2024-25.
FSU has draft picks in back-to-back seasons with Jamir Watkins being selected in the second round of the 2025 NBA draft.
