Melissa Odom scored 19 points as Florida State routed Palm Beach Atlantic 106-40 on Thursday night in the team’s final tune-up for the regular season.

Odom, a freshman forward, had eights points in the fourth quarter. She accounted for seven of the team's 16 steals while finishing second in rebounds with seven.

Fifth year guard Timaya Lewis-Eutsey and senior forward Aga Makurat each recorded 16 points, with finishing 6-for-7 and 5-for-6 from the floor, respectively. Makurat contributed a team-leading three three-pointers.

Senior guards Sole Williams and Emma Risch ended with 12 points and 11 points, respectively. Sophomore forward Joy Egbuna was the only Seminole in double figures off the glass, leading the team with 10 boards.

Florida State shot 59.1 percent from the floor (39-for-66) and 80 percent from the free throw line, accounting for 20 points. As a defensive unit, Florida State forced 32 turnovers from Palm Beach Atlantic after collecting 17 turnovers from Tampa on Sunday, creating 48 points, and outrebounded the Sailfish 44-23.

Senior guard Sole Williams and Lewis-Eutsey combined for Florida State's first 10 points of the game while the Seminole defense held Palm Beach Atlantic to a single field goal through the initial six minutes of play. The Seminole defense generated 10 turnovers from the Sailfish in the first quarter alone, converting them into 15 points as freshman guard Morgan Stewart contributed three takeaways while Odom earned two. Florida State led 27-6 at the conclusion of the first frame.

Florida State went on to nearly double its lead going into halftime as seven different Noles put up points in the second quarter. Odom recorded two more steals, holding four of the team's eight total first half takeaways. FSU shot a strong 54.5 percent from the floor (18 of 33) in the half while holding PBA to five baskets from the field.

The Seminoles opened the second half with an increased emphasis on driving to the basket, generating a 12-0 run purely consisting of layups early in the quarter. Senior guard Emma Risch answered a triple from Palm Beach Atlantic with one of her own, and Odom added her first three in the final two minutes of play. Lewis-Eutsey led the scoring effort with eight points on 3-for-3 shooting to go with a pair of free throws as Florida State led 72-33 at the end of the third.

Makurat, Risch, Odom and freshman guard Asia Lee each added threes in the fourth quarter, leading the team on a 27-5 run through the final seven minutes of play. Odom, junior guard Tatum Greene, Egbuna and Lee each added a steal as the Seminoles closed out the 106-40 win.
