Florida State slid in the weekly polls after being swept at Stanford, dropping six spots to No. 14 in D1baseball's poll and six places to No. 17 in Baseball America's top 25. The USA Today coaches’ poll and Perfect Game rankings will be released later on Monday.
FSU (29-14, 12-9 ACC) enjoyed a midweek win at North Florida but had its worst weekend of the season, losing at unranked Stanford. The Cardinal had a sub-.500 ACC record going into the series and are now 10-11 in league play.
The Seminoles suffered a pair of one-run losses in the first two games of the series, and Stanford had a walk-off grand slam to take a 7-4 victory on Sunday.
FSU has dropped all five of its one-run games in April, including four defeats by 4-3 margins.
