Florida State slipped in the weekly baseball polls after a weekend sweep at Georgia Tech.
The Seminoles slid three spots to No. 8 in the D1baseball rankings. They dropped further in Baseball America’s poll, falling eight spots to No. 13. FSU slid four spots to No. 10 in the USA Today college baseball coaches’ poll. Perfect Game also placed FSU outside the top 10, down from No. 5 to No. 12.
Georgia Tech moved up one spot to No. 2 in the rankings, while North Carolina also climbed three spots to No. 3 in BA’s poll. The Yellow Jackets maintained their No. 2 spot in the D1baseball poll, while UNC also climbed to the No. 3 spot.
FSU (24-11, 9-6 ACC) had won four straight ACC series.
Coming up
FSU plays host to Stetson on Tuesday at 6 p.m. (ACC Network Extra). The Seminoles will also play host to Notre Dame in a three-game series that begins on Friday.
After Notre Dame, FSU will have weekend series at Stanford and Clemson to go with home series against Pittsburgh (May 1-3) and Miami (May 14-16).
