Florida State has been named one of 16 host sites for a four-team regional that will begin on Friday at Dick Howser Stadium.
FSU (38-17) won eight ACC weekend series and is in the top-10 of the Division I RPI. Hosting a regional is important as the Seminoles won five ACC weekend series at Dick Howser Stadium, and FSU went 27-4 at home in 2026.
On Sunday night, the NCAA Baseball account on Twitter/X announced the 16 regional host sites. FSU, Georgia Tech and North Carolina were the three ACC schools that earned host sites.

The announcement of the 16 host sites were made a day ahead of the full 64-team bracket announcement. The NCAA Selection Committee, led by tournament chair Michael Alford from Florida State, will announce the complete field of 64 will be announced on Monday at noon on ESPN2.
FSU will find out during Monday’s show if it is a No. 1 seed in its regional (likely) and if it is a top-8 national seed (unlikely considering the early exit from the ACC Tournament). The Seminoles will also learn who they are paired up against in a Super Regional should they advance.
FSU played in a regional in 2021 (at Ole Miss) and 2022 (at Auburn) before missing out on the tournament in 2023. The Seminoles hosted a regional in 2024, ‘25 and ‘26. The Seminoles last reached the Super Regionals a year ago, falling at Oregon State. And they last advanced to the College World Series in 2024.
