They are also just 65.3 percent from the free-throw line (358th).

Quotable: On Jan. 17, FSU lost to Wake Forest to drop to 7-11 and 0-5 in ACC play. Exactly a month later, on Feb. 17, the Seminoles could defeat Boston College to improve to 13-13, 6-7 ACC.

“I wouldn't say this the highest of highs. We're approaching .500. That's not the highest of highs but we are in a much better spot,” FSU coach Luke Loucks said. “We don't want to throw a big party and celebrate it. It's rat poison. You have to focus on every single day. … We're not losing sight of what we're fighting for. We're fighting for ACC standings going into the ACC tournament.

“I do remind them of the big picture at times. But ultimately none of that matters if you don't show up and do your job. Our locker room is a testament to their character. We didn't let those lows splinter us as a team. We found solutions, we found ways to get better, and now we're reaping the benefits in terms of the win column, and hopefully we can keep pushing.”
