The No. 6 Florida State softball team secured an 8–0 victory in six innings over Liberty (0-6) to improve to 6–0 on the season with another complete performance on both sides of the ball.

Jazzy Francik set the tone in the circle, allowing just two hits in four innings to earn the win and improve to 3–0. The Flames threatened in the fourth as they put runners first and second with no outs, but Francik caught a line drive for the first out, and Jaysoni Beachum turned a 5-3 double play to end the inning. Francik has now thrown 17 scoreless innings to start the season, and FSU's starting rotation has thrown 24 innings, allowed just one earned run on nine hits.

Marlee Gaskell and Bella Dimitrijević came on in relief and threw two scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and striking out three.

The Seminoles struck first in the third when Hayley Griggs worked a bases-loaded walk to force in Shelby McKenzie for a 1-0 lead.

Florida State broke the game open in the fifth with five runs. Griggs and Makenna Sturgis hit back-to-back RBI singles. Marin Heller picked up her third hit of the night with a RBI double to push the lead to 6-0.

FSU added two more runs in the sixth as Shelby McKenzie homered to deep center field, and Angelee Bueno ended the game with a double to give FSU its third run-rule win of the season.
