Florida State is now a consensus top-5 team, moving up one spot to No. 5 in the Baseball America poll, two places to No. 5 in the D1baseball poll and also one spot in the Perfect Game rankings. The Seminoles climbed one spot in the USA Today coaches’ poll to No. 6.
All four were released on Monday after the weekend games.
The Seminoles (24-7, 9-3 ACC) picked up a series win at Virginia and a midweek road win over Stetson. It was the fourth straight series victory for FSU: at Wake Forest, NC State, Duke and at Virginia.
FSU’s next ACC opponent, No. 3 Georgia Tech, is coming off a series sweep at California. The Yellow Jackets (26-5, 12-3 ACC) also picked up a midweek run-rule victory over Auburn.
The Seminoles will play host to Florida on Tuesday at 7 p.m. (ESPN2). Florida (23-10) lost a series at home against Ole Miss, dropping to 7-5 in SEC play. The Gators are ranked 21st by Baseball America and are unranked by D1baseball.
Noteworthy
FSU and Florida have not announced starting pitchers. The Seminoles have started left-hander Cooper Whited (1-1, 3.31) in recent midweek games. Whited has 19 strikeouts and three walks in 16.1 innings.
Karl Ravech (play-by-play) and Chris Burke (analyst) will be on the call on ESPN2.

For fans without a ticket, there will be a free watch party hosted in Howser Green, outside Howser on the first-base side. Open to the first 300 fans with no game ticket needed, concessions will be available for purchase.
