From unranked to the top 10 — just like that, Florida State is back among the top college football teams in the nation.
FSU (2-0) moved up four spots to 10th in the Associated Press poll on Sunday afternoon. The Seminoles are coming off a season-opening win over Alabama and a rout on Saturday over East Texas A&M.
The ACC now has three teams in the top 12 of the AP poll, led by No. 5 Miami, FSU and No. 12 Clemson.
In the coaches’ poll, Miami is 6th, Clemson is 11th and FSU is 12th.
The Seminoles are off until a game with Kent State (1-1) on Sept. 20. Kent State lost at Texas Tech 62-14 on Saturday.
Florida slid out of the top 25 following its loss to USF. The Bulls are now ranked 18th in the AP poll and 23rd in the coaches’ poll.
