Florida State moves up one place to No. 17 in the Baseball America poll after a 5-0 week that included a weekend sweep of Northern Kentucky. The Seminoles maintained their No. 20 spot in the D1baseball rankings.
Later on Monday, FSU held firm with its No. 15 spot in the USA Today coaches’ poll.
The Seminoles (13-2) delivered a perfect week with home wins over Jacksonville and Mercer before the weekend sweep of the Norse.
FSU’s schedule now ramps up with a road trip to Florida (14-3) on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. (live stream on SEC Network+). The Gators lost the first two games of their series to High Point before rallying on Sunday to take game 3. Florida previously won a rain-shortened two-game series with Miami.
Coach Link Jarrett said after Sunday’s game that he’s uncertain if Payton Manca will be able to start at Florida.
Georgia Tech is ranked 4th in both polls, the highest ranked ACC team.
The Seminoles will hit the road this weekend to open ACC play, facing Wake Forest (15-1). Wake is ranked 12th by D1baseball and 18th by Baseball America following a weekend sweep of Stanford.
