Florida State added a commitment from Penn State right-hander Isaiah Shayter on Tuesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Shayter made 14 starts as a freshman in 2026. He went 2-7 with a 9.43 ERA.

Shayter recorded 38 strikeouts with 30 walks in 48.2 innings. Among his better outings, Shayter tossed five shutout innings against Washington in May as he allowed just three hits while striking out five.

On Twitter/X, Shayter said he has a four-pitch mix that includes a fastball that tops out at 97 mph.

It's the second straight day that FSU has added a pitcher, following up Alex Philpott's commitment on Monday.

FSU has been busy in the transfer portal, adding Indiana shortstop Cooper Malamazian, Georgia outfielder Ty Peeples, left-hander Cayden Suchy, right-hander Sebastian Lippman, junior-college catcher Coy Clements and first baseman Jackson McKenzie.
