The Florida State football team landed a commitment from linebacker CJ Ohuabunwa on Monday afternoon.

Ohuabunwa had 132 tackles, four pass breakups and three sacks as a junior in 2025 at Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian School. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Ohuabunwa is coming off a weekend visit to FSU.

What stood out as he made the decision to commit? Ohuabunwa mentioned the "pedigree of the school" among a number of reasons.

"The coaching staff, the tradition, the area, the community," Ohuabunwa told the Osceola. "Florida State has an amazing coaching staff that has been at the highest level and people there love FSU. There is a good Christian community."

Ohuabunwa picked up an offer from FSU on May 13.

FSU now has 11 commitments for the class of 2027, led by four-star receiver Sean Green and four-star running back Jayden Miles.
