Florida State landed a commitment from Anthony Cavallaro, the first defensive end pledge in the 2027 class.
Cavallaro made the announcement on Friday afternoon on Twitter/X. He’s viewed as a four-star prospect by On3/Rivals and a three-star prospect by 247Sports.
“You just felt like a family from the head coach all the way down to the people driving on the golf carts,” Cavallaro told the Osceola. “That’s just where I felt I was gonna be at my best and where I needed to be.”
The 6-foot-5 Cavallaro has added weight in the offseason and said he’s up to 230 pounds. As a junior, Cavallaro reported 20 sacks and 60 tackles.
Cavallaro visited FSU for junior days earlier this month, and coach Mike Norvell visited him at Largo (Florida) Indian Rocks Christian on Tuesday.
FSU has five signees in the class of 2027: safeties Mekhi Williams and Jemari Foreman, linebacker Gregory Batson, tight end Connor Winn and Cavallaro.
