Florida State jumped seven spots to No. 10 in the Baseball America poll and vaulted nine spots to No. 11 in the D1baseball rankings following a weekend sweep of Wake Forest.

The Seminoles (16-3, 3-0 ACC) enjoyed one of the most impressive regular-season weekends of ACC play in years. FSU recorded back-to-back shutouts on Friday and Saturday and then swept the series with a 12-6 win on Sunday. The last time FSU had two straight ACC shutouts on the same weekend was 2000 against Maryland.

After a midweek game, FSU will play another one of the ACC’s top teams. NC State is ranked 10th by D1baseball and 12th by Baseball America.

The Seminoles will host NC State in a three-game series beginning on Friday at Dick Howser Stadium. NC State won a series with Boston College, but the Wolfpack also lost a midweek game (to Elon) and dropped game 2 of the weekend series to BC.
