Florida State remains active in the transfer portal, on Wednesday landing Italian pro basketball player Elisee Assui.
A 6-foot-5 small forward, Assui played in Serie A (Italy's top league) and averaged 3.5 points and 3.7 rebounds.
He averaged 13.4 points and 4.9 rebounds in the seven-game FIBA U20 EuroBasket tournament.
Assui was committed to George Washington but flipped to FSU.
The Seminoles have been busy in the portal, maximizing the budget for the 2026-27 as they acquire transfer talent. FSU has added Anthony Robinson II (Missouri), Kameron Taylor (UNC Asheville), Sebastian Rancik (Colorado), Shon Abaev (Cincinnati) and Amare Robinson (Tallahassee State College).
FSU's roster building took a hit late Tuesday night when rising sophomore forward Thomas Bassong opted to enter the transfer portal. Bassong had been announced as returning to FSU for 2026-27, and he indicated when he met with the media on April 10 that he hadn’t considered playing for another college program.
