Florida State advanced to the ACC Tournament semifinals after winning a pitching duel, 2-1 over Georgia Tech on Thursday afternoon.
Isa Torres hit a one-out double in the fifth inning and later scored as Georgia Tech pitcher Sydnie Watts lost control. Jaysoni Beachum walked, Ashtyn Danley flew out and then Anna Hinde was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Bella Ruggerio was hit by a pitch to bring in the go-ahead run.
Anna Hinde had an RBI single in the third inning, bringing home Torres. The ACC player of the year has now scored 71 runs in 47 games in 2026.
But the Seminoles didn’t need much to support Jazzy Francik, the ACC pitcher of the year who tossed 5.2 innings and gave up just one earned run. Francik (21-2) had four strikeouts — giving her 100 on the season — and allowed only a walk.
Danley shut the door, pitching 1.1 hitless innings and recorded her fourth save.
The Seminoles have won 30 straight games vs. Georgia Tech.
FSU (47-8) will next face the Stanford-Louisville winner on Friday at 1 p.m. (ACC Network). The championship game will be held Saturday afternoon.
