Florida State announced a reshaped football staff for the final four games of the regular season, with Rick Stockstill taking over as interim head coach.

Tony White has been dismissed as defensive coordinator, and Evan Cooper is out as safeties coach. Ernie Sims will be the interim defensive coordinator, and assistant defensive backs coach Greg Moss will coach safeties.

The changes on defense were necessitated by the inconsistencies this season.

There are 138 teams in the FBS, and the Seminoles are among the worst defensively. FSU is 105th in the FBS in scoring defense (28.9 points), 114th in passing defense (247.9 yards) and 111th in rush defense (176.5 yards).

Offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. will handle primary play-calling responsibilities for the offense.
