Florida State passed its first road test.

Noah Sheffield went 2 for 5 with two runs scored and a double as the Seminoles pounded out 11 hits in a 13-3 victory at Jacksonville in eight innings.

FSU (3-0) saw contributions from up and down the lineup and quality pitching from five of six arms.

Chase Williams scored three runs and two RBI. Brayden Dowd had a two-run single, while Cal Fisher had a pair of RBI singles.

Myles Bailey had an RBI single and a pair of walks.

Payton Manca (1-0) allowed three hits in three innings in a controlled start. He had two strikeouts and a walk on 50 pitches.

John Abraham threw two shutout innings, striking out three.
