Florida State wasn't finished adding big men for the 2026-27 season, adding Wake Forest forward Cooper Schwieger on Thursday night.
Schwieger averaged 5.1 points and 2.5 rebounds for the Demon Deacons last season. The 6-foot-10 Schwieger had eight points and three rebounds for Wake at FSU on Jan. 17.
As a junior last season, Schwieger started 11 games. He scored 13 points against Georgia Tech and had a season-best 11 rebounds at Pittsburgh.
Schwieger averaged 13.2 points as a freshman at Valparaiso. He also had 15.8 points as a sophomore at Valpo.
The Seminoles have been busy in the portal, maximizing the budget for the 2026-27 as they acquire transfer talent. FSU has added Anthony Robinson II (Missouri), Kameron Taylor (UNC Asheville), Sebastian Rancik (Colorado), Shon Abaev (Cincinnati), Elisee Assui (Italy's Serie A pro league) and Amare Robinson (Tallahassee State College).
FSU has announced Taylor and the Robinson brothers have signed.
