Four-star linebacker Izayia Williams flipped his commitment from Ole Miss back to Florida State early on Friday morning. The flip came just a few weeks before his expected unofficial to Tallahassee for the Alabama game.
A four-star composite linebacker, Williams is considered the No. 62 prospect in the country and is also considered the No. 3 linebacker prospect in the 2026 class according to the 247sports composite. The 6-foot-1 and 215 pound linebacker has been committed to five programs over the last two years - this now being his second commitment to the Seminoles.
Williams was previously committed to Florida State last fall, committing to the Seminoles following an unofficial visit for the Boston College game early in September. Williams would later decommit following a 2-10 season.
Williams would commit to Florida shortly into the spring and then make a surprising flip to Ole Miss during an official visit later in the summer. Other previous stops include Syracuse and Louisville.
With Williams’ commitment, Florida State is back up 22 commitments in it’s 2026 recruiting class. Williams joins Karon Maycock and Noah LaVallee as linebackers committed to the Seminoles. FSU has the 15th ranked class according to both the On3/Rivals and the 247sports class rankings.
