The Seminoles added an important piece to their offensive line class on Saturday, as composite four-star Da’Ron Parks committed to Florida State over Auburn, Ohio State and Kentucky.
Parks, who is ranked as the No. 25 interior offensive line prospect and the No. 350 prospect nationally according to the 247sports composite rankings, is the fourth offensive line prospect to commit to offensive line coach Herb Hand as part of the 2026 class.
Originally from West Virginia, Parks was offered by Florida State in June 2023. Parks then transferred to Sarasota Cardinal Mooney for his junior season, where he first got on the radar of Herb Hand and Gus Malzahn at UCF. The duo recruited him hard while in Orlando and that continued when they took their respective roles at Florida State.
“I love it. He’s hands on. He doesn’t coach everybody the same way and I’m not saying that in a bad way but everyone takes things differently so he coaches everybody differently,” Parks said of Hand while speaking to media on a spring visit.
The 6-foot-5 and 350-pound lineman visited multiple times during the course of his recruitment, including an official visit in June in addition to his multi-day spring visit. Florida State intends to start Parks at offensive tackle despite being graded and evaluated by multiple recruiting services as an interior lineman.
Parks also announced on Friday that he is transferring back to his home state of West Virginia for his senior season.
Parks joins three-star Michael Ionata, three-star Jakobe Green and three-star Luke Francis as offensive lineman in Mike Norvell’s 2026 recruiting class. With his commitment, Florida State is up to 22 commitments and has a top 15 recruiting class in the country. The Seminoles have the No. 13 ranked class per 247sports and the No. 14 class per On3.
