Austin Tucker agreed to a one-year deal on a $325,000 salary when he was promoted to Florida State's quarterbacks coach.

Tucker has been on FSU's staff since 2020 in a variety of roles and signed the letter of understanding with FSU on Dec. 16. The letter of understanding was obtained by the Osceola as part of an open records request.

He will be under contract through Jan. 31, 2027. Tucker will also receive a monthly car allowance, cell phone, Nike Elite Allotment and other unspecified performance bonuses (likely to be outlined in a detailed contract).

Previously, Tucker has been FSU's assistant wide receivers coach in 2025 and also has worked with FSU's running backs and quarterbacks.

Tucker was also a graduate assistant in 2016 at Auburn under head coach Gus Malzahn. He then was a graduate assistant coach at Memphis in 2017 before moving to North Alabama as wide receivers coach in 2018-19.

FSU has reshaped its offensive coaching staff this offseason, adding Tucker and Kam Martin as the running backs coach while elevating Tim Harris Jr. first to co-offensive coordinator before promoting him to offensive coordinator on Monday following Gus Malzahn’s retirement.

Norvell will be the play-caller for FSU's offense on game days.
