Florida Rising Stars, a not for profit enterprise started by former Florida State sports information director and interim AD Wayne Hogan, is running a raffle for a full-blown Bobby Bowden autograph collection, which includes an autographed helmet, football, Bowden Dynasty Video and book.
Participants will get one entry for each $10 donated. The fun drawing will be held on July 4.
Florida Rising Stars offers middle schoolers (grades 6-8) a chance to participate in sports instruction on the field, but what sets the organization apart is the opportunity for high school kids who have an interest in a myriad of sports careers to gain a parallel experience in the field.
Each participant will have the opportunity to choose a fun, rewarding and educational experience, taught by the best and brightest practitioners in their chosen field — from the Bill Patrick School of Sports Broadcasting, to curriculum in sports management and marketing, sports officiating and in athletic training and sports medicine.
Each of these tracks lead to “Life Lessons” embedded in the sports industry. An all-star cast of more than 60 ambassadors will provide unmatched instruction and pass along their personal stories of success and advice to help our participants to get a head start.
