Where are they now: Andy and Marcy Crowe

Florida State graduates Andy and Marcy Crowe made the trip from the warmth of their Boca Raton home to Chestnut Hill to join fellow Seminoles at the Boston Club’s pre-game tailgate party on Saturday. Andy was the long snapper for the Seminoles’ 1993 national championship team and Marcy was a Golden Girl.

You may remember the seminal moment in the championship history of FSU football when Crowe made the snap, Danny Kannel made the placement and Scott Bentley made the game-winning kick against Nebraska in the Orange Bowl.

More than 25 years have passed and the couple, who have three teenage boys, credit the work ethic learned at Florida State for their success in life. Crowe recalls the word “enthusiasm” painted on the old metal sign that hung above the entrance to the football practice field, a word he emphasizes every day with the team he selects and leads for Ferguson.
