Leonard Warner has changed his mind, and he now plans to return to Florida State in 2021. The senior defensive end/linebacker made the announcement on his Instagram on Monday night.
“After spending time during the break doing some deep soul searching, I realized my heart is still with Florida State,” Warner said. He later went on to say he has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal.
Warner had 12 tackles and one tackle for loss in 2020, spending most of the year at linebacker before moving to defensive end.
His return, along with the arrival of Georgia transfer Jermaine Johnson, would help to solidify defensive end in the fall. FSU lost starters Joshua Kaindoh and Janarius Robinson, both of whom have declared for the NFL Draft.
