Video: Durham reflects on Bowdens’ vision of Osceola, Renegade

Bobby and Ann Bowden were instrumental in creating numerous traditions at Florida State, including the gold helmet with the spear, the Seminole Boosters Spring Tour of 30 cities with Coach Bowden and often Miss Ann, the Extra-Point Club, which celebrated its 50th year of helping FSU Athletics and of course the Osceola and Renegade tradition.

The Osceola’s Jerry Kutz met with Bill Durham who together with his son Alan have managed the horse and rider program since its inception in 1978. Durham discusses where the idea originated and why Bobby and Ann Bowden were so instrumental in making the idea a reality as well as fostering its development into the greatest pregame show in college football.

Durham spent a lot of time with the Bowdens over the years and shares his unique perspective on Bobby Bowden with us.
