Offensive tackle Julian Armella signed with Florida State on Wednesday night, the 15th member of the Seminoles’ 2022 class. Armella has had a busy week — making his final college decision and preparing to play in the Class 7A state title game with Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas against Tampa Bay Tech on Friday at 7 p.m.
On Thursday, Armella spoke with the Osceola about his decision, relationship with offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Alex Atkins and more.
“I just felt like my heart was at Florida State and that’s where I’m most needed at because of the need for offensive linemen and the need for that structure and the rebuild,” Armella said.
Following the state title game, Armella said he plans to take a week off to rest his body before diving into offseason strength and conditioning with a goal of adding some weight and getting up to 300-310 pounds.
