Florida State had just three hits and was shut out 5-0 by Virginia Tech on Saturday in the second game of the series.
Robby Martin, Jackson Greene and Davis Hare each had singles for FSU (5-6, 3-5 ACC). The Seminoles struck out 10 times.
Bryce Hubbart tossed four innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on three hits and hit three batters. He had six strikeouts.
Jack Hurley had a solo home run and Tanner Schobel had two RBI for the Hokies (9-4, 5-3). VT batters had just four hits and struck out 10 times but capitalized on three FSU errors.
