Unofficial visits highlight end of July dead period

This weekend marked then end of another month-long NCAA dead period for college football. And just like in June, head coach Mike Norvell and his staff wasted no time in taking advantage of the quiet period, a period of time where college coaches are allowed to visit with prospects on a college’s campus. Coaches are not allowed to visit a prospect’s home or school and they instead hosted several dozen prospects at the Moore Athletic Center on Sunday. Six 2022 prospects already committed to FSU were on campus Sunday. Prospects from the classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025 were among today’s visitors.

DE prospect Marvin Jones Jr. arrived in Tallahassee with his father, Marvin Jones Sr. This was Jones Jr.’s second unofficial visit to FSU within the last six weeks and it was the first time this summer that his father accompanied him on a visit to his alma mater this summer.

Please see a list below that list some of the prospects from 2022 and 2023 who were on the Florida State campus today.
